Brief for the Integrated Smart City :

To position KWIN City as a destination for knowledge, innovation, and sustainable urban living, emerging as the next-generation integrated smart city near Bangalore.

 

We were entrusted with the following responsibilities:

Brand Positioning:

To establish KWIN City as a futuristic, integrated smart city that embodies cutting-edge technology, sustainability, and a knowledge-driven ecosystem, making it a benchmark for innovation-driven development and smart urban living.

Communication Strategy:

To craft a compelling and future-focused communication strategy that highlights the city’s unique attributes as an urban innovation hub, appealing to businesses, investors, and innovators seeking a dynamic environment to thrive, collaborate, and scale new frontiers in technology and sustainability.

Branding:

To create a cohesive and impactful brand identity, ensuring consistency across all communication platforms. This includes ideating the city’s name, designing a smart city logo, developing the tagline, brand story, coffee table book, and brand guidelines, alongside collaterals like the welcome arch, digital assets, and more.

 

Insight:

Once celebrated as the Pensioner’s Paradise, Bengaluru embarked on a remarkable transformation in the late 20th century. With a rich legacy in education, science, and research, the city became a hub of urban innovation and groundbreaking advancements. The rise of the IT sector marked a pivotal moment, showcasing Indian talent on the global stage. Building on this legacy, the new city emerges as a gateway to limitless opportunities—designed to inspire a forward-thinking and innovation-led way of life.

This vision led to the creation of KWIN City—a name that embodies Knowledge, Well-being, and Innovation. The tagline “Inspiring Innovation” reflects the essence of this innovation hub: a place that nurtures creativity, drives technological progress, and champions a balanced, sustainable urban lifestyle, setting an unparalleled benchmark for integrated smart city development.

After extensive brainstorming, our team of designers crafted a smart city logo representing the essence of KWIN City: the clover leaf. This symbol reflects growth, renewal, and harmony—core principles of an integrated smart city committed to sustainable progress. The chosen color, teal—a vibrant blend of blue and green—symbolizes balance, vitality, and a deep connection to nature. This thoughtful design celebrates the synergy between the city’s foundational pillars, reinforcing its identity as a center for innovation-driven development and holistic urban growth.

For the grand launch of KWIN City, we designed a website and curated a comprehensive suite of visual elements. This included a brand film that brought the city’s vision to life, a dramatic logo reveal film to symbolize its identity, and a dynamic backdrop video to elevate the event’s atmosphere. We also created digital standees, banners, and a welcoming arch to visually communicate the brand’s essence. Every element reflected the spirit of a modern, urban innovation hub, built on sustainability, technology, and purpose.

Through meticulous branding, a strategic communication strategy, and a compelling narrative, we take pride in being an integral part of shaping the identity of this world-class integrated smart city—KWIN City.

 

Problem

KWIN City, envisioned as a next-generation smart city near Bangalore, was at a pivotal moment—ready to be introduced to the world but in need of a strong identity and narrative. With its immense potential as a destination for knowledge, innovation, and sustainable urban living, the city needed a compelling way to communicate this vision to its diverse stakeholders.

 

Key Objectives of the Communication Strategy

  1. Establish a clear and inspiring brand positioning for KWIN City as an integrated smart city that blends technology, innovation, and sustainability.
  2. Build a strategic communication plan that appeals to businesses, investors, innovators, and citizens, positioning KWIN as an urban innovation hub.
  3. Craft a cohesive visual identity including a city name, smart city logo, tagline, and brand elements that reflect the values of innovation, well-being, and future-readiness
  4. Design engaging launch assets—from digital media to event branding—to bring the city’s story to life at its grand unveiling.

 

Solution

We began by anchoring the city’s identity in its core values—Knowledge, Well-being, and Innovation—and created the name KWIN City, with the tagline “Inspiring Innovation.” This formed the foundation of a brand that speaks to both progress and purpose.

A distinct clover-leaf logo was designed to represent interconnected growth, balance, and sustainability—brought to life with a teal palette that bridges technology (blue) and nature (green).

Our communication strategy highlighted KWIN City as a benchmark in sustainable urban living and an emerging hub for innovation-driven development. Through a suite of launch assets including a website, brand film, coffee table book, and event visuals, we told a story that was as visionary as the city itself.

 

Implementation Challenges

  1. Bringing together a futuristic vision in a way that felt grounded, credible, and relatable to a wide audience.
  2. Translating complex ideas—like smart city integration, sustainability, and innovation ecosystems—into visuals and language that spark curiosity and confidence.
